NFL Preseason Betting: Patriots Tackle Panthers

The New England Patriots look ready to go. Behind Tom Brady’s excellent outing, they beat the Carolina Panthers, 24-7, on Friday night in NFL preseason action.

The Patriots covered against the spread of 1 point and the betting total was under 38.

Brady was 17-for-22 for 162 yards and two touchdowns as he led the Super Bowl favorites to their first win of the preseason. It was also Brady’s first game since becoming a father. His former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan, gave birth to a boy two days ago. Brady had flown to Los Angeles in time for the birth, but made it to Charlotte, N.C., ready to start the game.?? The All-Pro quarterback is now dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen (yeah, he’s got the life).

He hit Marcellus Rivers and Heath Evans with TD passes inside the 10-yard line.
